Ravelrig Riding for the Disabled Group is a member of the UK Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) and part of the Edinburgh & Borders RDA Region.
The Group provides people with a disability the opportunity to ride and enjoy all the activities connected with horse riding. Founded in 1986, Ravelrig RDA has grown from 1 little pony and 12 riders, to the present day capacity of 8 horses and ponies and 95 regular riders.
Ravelrig RDA is run almost entirely by a dedicated group of more than 100 volunteers ranging in age from 12 to 75. The Group is managed by a Board of Trustees who are also active volunteers with the Group.
DINNER DATE - Al Borgo - Wednesday 19th April
Join us for dinner on the 19th April at the wonderful Al Borgo in Juniper Green. They are providing a scrumptious menu for us for just £20 per person (excluding drinks) The Carpico family are kindly donating all the profits to Ravelrig RDA. BOOK SALE - Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th April
Working in partnership with the C&B Rotary we are running a book sale at the Gyle Shopping Centre over the weekend. Please let us know if you are able to help on either day.
RAVELRIG JUMBLE SALE WAS A HUGE SUCCESS
Thank you to everyone who came along to help and spend their money on the day, we had great fun and managed to raise over £2,000 which is a fantastic amount.
CHRISTMAS FAYRE 2016 RAISES OVER £2,500!

Another fantastic Christmas Fayre at Ravelrig RDA on Sunday 27th November. Santa arrived on horseback with a gaggle of his cheery elves and as expected, a great time was had by all. Thanks to all those who contributed to make the day such a success with a special mention to staff of Lloyds Banking Group Sighthill who helped out in the run up to the event.

Welcome to our newest Ravelrig recruits! Our two little dark haired furry felines have been officially named as 'Jack and Jill'. The kittens helped raise almost £100 at the Christmas Fayre where visitors could donate £2 to suggest names for the dynamic duo! click here for a peek at the pink pawed pair.
